La Befana!

Welcome back! It's great to see everyone back for the upcoming Winter Quarter!

This past Thursday we had our first meeting which was respectively about La Befana, a Christmas tradition in Italy that is similar to Santa Claus in the United States. However, instead of La Befana being a man bearded man in a red suit, she is a little old lady who rides around on a broomstick giving treats to good little children (and she is not a witch). Here are some pictures as usual:

Exec board enjoying the snacks, haha.

Plans for Carnevale in February!

Before the Befana presentation, we watched a movie on how to make espresso and a movie about Christmas dinner in Italy.

Annalisa speaking about La Befana...

...and La Befana stops by!

Snacks, treats, candy, peanuts, walnuts, tangerines, etc.

If you want to be apart of Ciao Club at Ohio University, feel free to come to our meetings every Thursday at 7pm in Baker 233. Questions? Email OUciaoclub@gmail.com! Come and enjoy the experience of Italian culture!
